I assume you have a system logon UDC command. Add the following command:

SETVAR TZ "EST5EDT"

If you do not have a system logon UDC, set one up. If you need help, please
call.

     Dear Listers,

     I have come up with still another question regarding the internal
     clocks on the HP3000. Using Damian Coffey's suggestion of the
     'showclks.pubxl.telesup' command, I found out that my "Time Zone"
     variable is not set to any value. See results below:

     SHOWCLKS.PUBXL.TELESUP
     SHOWCLKS/XL  A.10.00
     DEBUG/iX B.79.06

     HPDEBUG Intrinsic at: fb5.00007258 PROGRAM+$198
     PRIV=$3 := $0

           Current value of Time Zone(TZ) variable : NOT ASSIGNED
           CTIME function return :  Wed Aug 28 13:19:33 1996

     How do I set the "TZ" variable to 'EST5EDT' so that I will finally
     have my machine keeping time the way it should??

     Any help is greatly appreciated!!
