<flame suit going on>

Not to pick on Nick or anyone else, but this seems to be sticking around the
point that a company was saavy enough to garner HP and CSY support for
distributing systems - and people are linking it somehow to 3kworld.com.

As for the hardware deal, I give them all the credit in the world! After
recent developments that we ALL know about, HP's pulling in the reins, and
rightfully so. Client Systems won the business - more power to them! We had
some success with HP during the show for our new product... does this mean that
if HP is working with us on our product, and were to start a 3kworld.com
(hypothetically, of course), that we would be in collusion? Absolutely not!

What the hell does this have to do with 3kworld.com? Some people look at
"whois" (a utility to find domains, IP owners, etc.) and say "it says Client
Systems" - well guess the hell what? InterNIC or any other registry of
domains, is not the legal registry of corporations. (Garfield the cat says it
best: "Big Fat Hairy Deal!") If one looks up SolutionStore3000.com and
SolutionStore3000.net via whois, it has MY name and MY company on the registry.
Does that mean I own Ron Seybold's directory? Does it mean I own the NewsWire?
Hell no! I just registered it and paid for it on Ron's behalf. As a matter of
fact, if one reads the NSI agreement, NSI won't get in the middle of corporate
matters. They will assist, but it's up to the parties to battle it out. This
is, by the way, why there has been a lot of cybersquatting - NSI does not get
involved other possibly acting as arbiter between two parties claiming the same
domain.

They (Client Systems, Phoenix/3000 and 3kworld.com) are separate corporate
entities. Yes, they may share resources - but let's put this to bed, at least
IMHO - you have a company, with apparently no visible ulterior motives except
trying to bring us the hell together (and yes, make some profit on it from
advertisers). Why is it when someone does something to BENEFIT this group,
that some naysayers and whiners come out en-masse? Of course, I'll be the
first to admint that MPE folks have been screwed, blued and tatooed so many
times that we are a cynical bunch... and I can understand that... well,
sometimes, one has to put some faith in someone.

I, for one, have seen that there is NO connection except that the CEO of all
three companies is the same person, and they do share staff and resources...
but they are incorporated separately and by law, must keep their own set of
books, have their own accounts, and are treated separately from a tax
standpoint. This is a company dedicated to the 3000 (all three companies are
dedicated to the 3000).

Let's give them a damn chance, OK - and stop the damned whining, complaining
and thinking that someone/some entity is out to screw them. In other words,
not many people here are giving 3kworld.com or Client Systems a chance - and
THAT'S not fair either. They just announced -- let them have some time to get
out there, show what they have, and yes, get the kinks worked out where they
lie.

Joe (getting the flamesuit ready - fire extinguisher pin has been pulled -
ready to fire :)
