The syslog.conf is the same as on HPUX. It's also the same as on Linux, except
that the Linux enhancements of ! = - | are not present in my version.
Hmmmm... maybe I should port the Linux version some day. Or better still,
maybe somebody else could try this as their first attempt at learning MPE/iX
porting. Syslog is very small and easy, and would make a good learning
experience for somebody wanting to try porting.

MPE syslogd is capable of forwarding to a remote syslogd.

There's a man page at /SYSLOG/PUB/syslogd.8. The example config file at
/SYSLOG/PUB/syslog.conf attempts to show examples of all of the syntax
variations. The web page at http://www.bixby.org/mark/syslogix.html also talks
about the syntax.
