We have setup a number of DTC connected standalone modems of different
brands at customer sites. Some modems are easy to setup and maintains its
configurations while others are more difficult and often reset back to its
default configuration on power-fail.

I thought that it was now time to poll the group and find out what all the
experts are doing. We would like to get information on brand name and model
of modem, ease of configuration (does it require a PC to configure), and
reliability.

So which modem's work best on the HP3000?

Thanks in advance,
Steve
