Sorry for off-topic post, but I have a problem that has me scratching my
head...

Our original IP address blocks were assigned back in 1980-something
and consist of 192.239.44-47.xxx. The blocks and their registrations
are essentially untouched since then. But for some reason, reverse
DNS fails from off-campus now for these 4 class C nets. Our primary
and secondary nameservers are on 192.239.44.[6 and 7]. Name lookups
[cecasun.utc.edu, moccasun.utc.edu] work fine, but you can't nslookup
192.239.44.6 or 7 and get the name back.

Our other networks are unaffected. raven.utc.edu at 199.76.196.24 works
fine both ways.

Our upstream is UTK, and they host a tertiary nameserver for us.
Their server (dns1.utk.edu) gives out the right answers. But it is
broken somewhere beyond that and I can't figure out where to point
the blame.

Can anyone offer any suggestions or do some sort of lookup magic from
their home network perspective to give me some further clues?

Thanks in advance,
