We use it for work on several of our customers. As far as security, we
ask our customers to 'poke' a hole through their firewall for port 1570
(and a couple of other ports for ALLBASE/NET, ODBC primarily) to the
C block in our office. This minimizes their exposure while allowing us
good access to their system.
