As far as I recall, the "do not use . in PATH" mainly applies
for root users on HP-UX as these might be attacked by innocent
looking scripts lying around in $PWD. For MPE/iX the rule is
probably good for users with SM, OP, PM, AM or similar cap's.
On the other hand, even vanilla users may want extra safety.
