I have enjoyed this list for several years. Seldom ever post to it, but
read most of the other posts. Seldom have enough knowledge to share with
this esteem group.

The following is off-topic and a lot of bragging from a proud grandfather.
You may choose to read, discard, delete or flame at will.

My eight year-old grandson, Austin Golden, just received an invitation from
Baseball Diamond Sports to participate in the Baseball Diamond Skills to be
held before the Atlanta Braves and the Baltimore O's game Sunday, June 13,
1999. Austin earned his way by winning his area and regional meets and
having one of the top four (4) scores for his age bracket in the southeast.

Austin, a life-long fan of the Braves, stated in an interview that he just
wanted the opportunity to shake Chipper Jones (his idol) and Javier Lopez
hands. Now, if he could just get on the other side of the field and find
Cal Rippen, he would think he was in baseball heaven.

All sixteen of the young people competing in Atlanta plus the 48 others at
three other sites are to be congratulated. They have already earn all-star
status.

Please feel free to flame or else privately at
