hi all!

we've been having trouble with message files getting
'corrupted' recently.  'corrupted' could mean almost
anything at this point....  since i'm at the bottom of the
hill that you-know-what rolls down on <sigh>, i thought i'd
ask if there were any known issues (patches) with 5.5 (pp6)
regarding message files.               - d
