Ted let us have an early copy of this and I must say that what he has done

Subject: [HP3000-L] MPE::IMAGE early beta

Well it's been a long time coming and it's not complete yet, but as there
may
be some value to it, I'm making MPE::IMAGE available to the folks it's most
likely to benefit.

As it currently stands, MPE::IMAGE is a read-only module -- I haven't
written
the code to call DbControl, DbDelete, DbLock, DbPut, DbUnlock, or DbUpdate.
DbBegin, DbEnd, DbMemo, and the DbX family are in but untested and
undocumented. Pretty much everything else is, I believe, in and has basic
documentation. So, if what you've been wanting a Perl/IMAGE module for is
reporting--this should server your purposes.

Please send me feedback (preferably with patches ;-), but understand that
the
reason I've not got the other stuff done is that "real work" keeps me pretty
busy.

I'm not yet ready to submit it to CPAN, so you'll have to do download and
install by hand.  The traditional
  perl Makefile.PL
  make
  make test
  make install
should suffice. Note that for the testing portion you'll have to have a
database and its password handy as I can't very well include one in the
distribution.

Anywho, enough of that. Without further ado, the URL is:

  ftp://ftp.southern.edu/pub/HP3000/MPE-IMAGE-0.02.tar.gz

All the usual disclaimers apply.

Ted
