To be clear, whatever I mistype below the actual network I am working with is
192.168.0.0/16 (mask=255.255.0.0)

This is what I have in NMMGR:

 Related screen:

    NETXPORT.NI.NIname.PROTOCOL.IP

The network address (network portion of the IP address) configured in this
screen must match the neighbor gateway IP internet address configured in
the current screen.

That screen contains:

 NI Name: LAN
 IP Addr: C 192.168.216 102
 IP Mask: 255.255.000.000
 Proxy: N
 Name: LANLINK
 Type BT100
 Path: 0/0/0/0
 Ether: Y
 IEEE Y

To begin with, this screen declares the assigned address as a C type when the
mask clearly sets it to a B class. Not that this is supposed to matter but one
cannot change the C to B.

On NETXPORT.NI.LAN.INTERNET.DEFAULT settings are:

 Gateway: C 192.168.000.001
 Reach: @ 255.255.000.000

This gives a validation failure. The following setting validates:

 Gateway: C 192.168.216.001
 Reach: @

Does MPE/iX only recognize class C /24 or 255.255.255.0 addresses as valid
networks? This makes no sense?

Any information on what is going on would be helpful. I can brute force this by
adding 192.168.216.1 to the gateway host but I really would like to know what
is causing this validation failure. Is it a limitation of MPEiX or is their a
configuration error somewhere?

Also, what does 'CHECK S&F' mean?
