I'm not sure what kind of HP platform you are using, so I will use my

environment as an example. I am using an HP3000 series 948 and using

MPE/iX 5.0 with the Express 3 Powerpatch. This provides a reasonable

platform to use Image/SQL and HP's PC API (in my case ODBC). I use MS

Access (with Access Basic) to perform inquire/update and report

applications on my ODBC connected Image/SQL database. This also

requires that you have a TCP/IP connection between your PC and the

HP3000. I found a manual from HP to be fairly useful in setting up the

whole process: "HP PC API User's Guide for ALLBASE/SQL And IMAGE/SQL.

Visual Basic is mentioned as one of the supported applications in the

manual. If you need any further details, please E-mail me.
