Yes there are SPECIAL Internal JetDirect cards for Laserjet IIID but
they support only 1 protocol.  You could also use an external
JetDirect (JetDirect EX Plus) which connects to your IIID's parallel
port and then you'll be able to "talk" to the IIID using multiple
protocols (like DLC, TCP/IP, IPX, Appletalk, etc.).  I don't have the
model number here but I could supply it when I'll be back to the
office (If you need it, email me).
