One more thought; Samba/iX. Either have people drop their files right onto
a shared directory on the 3000, or simply have your job stream run the
samba client on the 3000 to get (or put) files to/from the 3000 onto
shared directories on your Win<whatever> network.

{Note that you don't need to have the samba server running on the 3000 to
be able to run the client and have it do get/puts. The get/puts work very
much like ftp, only without users needing to have ftp servers running).
