ok....ms. super scripter needs to....i don't know...shut-up is probably a
start....but....

there's a bug (say it ain't so!) in binsrch.

at the top of the script, left gets initialized to zero and right to
(array_size -1) -- which is perfectly fine if your arrays are zero-relative
<sigh>.  if you change left to 1 and right to array_size, you'll probably find
it works a bit better.....
