These things seem to work themselves out over time.

I mean, look at how these same groups were demanding back in the 80's
that we must do something immediately about the looming new ice age. The
world stepped up to the plate and now viola... global warming has
successfully eliminated the threat of the new ice age.

Now we are warned that global warming is out of control but again, there
is little cause for concern there since we now have countries like North
Korea, and soon Iran, with nuclear weapons. I am sure these great
humanitarian societies will soon solve our global warming problem via a
liberal dose of nuclear winter.

So there is no need to sweat, pun intended, global warming or the
environmental disaster to be named next.
