Well, I just got my MPE/iX 5.5 Express 2 Communicator. I see that
HP has admitted that it shipped the TurboSTORE/iX 7x24 (PN B5152AA)
in error and that it will expire for all users, licensed or not, on
July 15, 1997. Since we probably will not license this product, I
am assuming that our system will revert back to plain, old STORE on
that date. Is this a safe assumption?
Also, we have a custom-written program that tracks backup listings
to a data base by reading a disc copy of the STORE output listing.
I had to modify this program to handle the TurboSTORE/iX 7x24
output format. Does anyone know if the STORE listing format is
different from the 7x24 format? I suppose I could just invoke the
standard STORE if I could figure out how to do it. The STORE command
invokes the 7x24 product.
Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
