Dear John,

I am on still 5.5 on 967 and 6.5 on 968.

Yes It happened with me when Operator has manually switched off both the
server without the D100 Messages. This was happened when we was heaving a
planned shutdown in the data centre.

On one server nmmgr config file was corrupted. Just restored from the last
backup. Restarted the server. Every thing was okay...

With Warm Regards

dear hp3000-l

this weekend we had an odd occurrence on our main mpe box. it's an n4000
4-way 440MHz box connected via fibre to a va7100. we had a hung job that
wouldn't abort, so we rebooted. when the box came back up, we did a start
norecovery and everything seemed to be fine until we tried to stream our
normal startup job, when we got a cierror 1033, no such ldev in the system.
basically, ldev 10 was gone. actually, the only ldevs still on the system
were the disc ldevs (1, 22-36), the consoles (20 and 21), and our spooled
printers. ldevs 2-19 were gone. (the only thingst that should've been there
were ldev 10, the streams device, and ldev 6, lp.)

I looked in sysgen, io, and the devices were still specified there and
everything looked right. so we did another reboot and another start
norecovery, and it came up fine.

has anyone encountered this before?

Thanks!
