Hello All,

RE: MPE/iX 7 and sendmail

HP Pipes "|" uses streams... Streams has it's own buffer mgr which
might have run into a buffer leak condition. We do not have any KP
(Known problems) for this... but you can identify streams memory
with:

:strcntl.net.sys -M

...
Total memory frozen in buckets (bytes): 245760
Total memory available in buckets (bytes): 239296

[break] & :abort

The only way to stop and restart streams is a MPE system restart.

One possibility is to terminate any applications which use streams
and that could possibly delink the memory buffers, but I expect a
MPE system restart will be the required therapy to clear this.

James says:
STRGDX6 for C.75.00 (General Release)
STRGDW2 for C.70.00 (Beta Test)
STRGDL3 for C.65.00 (Beta Test)
STRGD76 for C.60.00 (Beta Test)

Note: If SA662 is seen at your site, STRGD76 is not recommended as
it can increase the frequency of this Streams/iX system abort.

I hope this helps.
