Actually, the 2567B is the only one of the 2567 series that goes off support soon
(3/1/00) according to HP's end of support web page at:

http://www.hp3000links.com/eosperiph.htm

And the 2563C printer does not go off support until 9/30/2002! These printers are
getting old, but ours have served us well.

Our laserjet printers are great; however, we still have a bunch of reports that are
printed in compressed format with over 188 characters per line. On a laserjet, that
is just too small to read. It's bad enough on the 2567C we have (which is still
supported as far as I know) which runs 14-7/8x11 paper. I cannot imagine what
those would look like off a laserjet printer.

I can tell you this the 256x line of printers are old workhorses and their
are those that love em or hate em... I had 2563 and a 2567 they were great
for their time.... They are off the maintenance list a while now... So if
you are looking at printers and have to look at impact printers I believe
you are looking at the right ones....

But why go impact if you can go laser so much cheaper.... I replaced my 2563
with a 5si and the large cap tray for less than a quarter of what it was
going to cost to replace the line printer.... I designed everything from
that point on with the laser in mind....

Subject: 2564C and 33422C Printers

Hello List,

Does anyone know the difference between the 2564C 840lpm Dot Matrix Printer
and a 33422C Dot Matrix Printer? I was told the 33422C is newer and took or
is taking the place of the 2564C. I was also told the 33422C is upgradeable
to 1200lpm. Has anyone ever heard of the 33422C? Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,
