right (just make sure you get the right version if you decide to
patch).

because networks are volatile things.  you may think your environment
is stable but it's not.

use the searching tool of your choice to examine hpswinfo.

nmmgr...open config....NETXPORT.GPROT.TCP

these are huge clues.  and are directly relate to why you saw such an
improvement when you turned off logging.  the reverse lookup that
logging does is what was killing your performance.

for james, yes :-)  for the rest of us, just search hpswinfo :-)

another big clue...again confirms the logging/reverse lookup problem.

you said one machine was good, the other wasn't...what's in each
system's /etc/resolv.conf files?       - d
