This will probably work for the ZebraNet Print Server; however, the printer
MUST still understand at least a very basic version of PCL (a ThinkJet even
works!).

Normally, you have to use a JetDirect card for MPE Network Printing from the
3000. But no one has ever accused me of being normal. Submitted for your
consideration:

Subject: Re: [HP3000-L] SNMP printer status checking
There is a undocumented feature of 5.5 printing that I was able to find out
about because I use network printing to print to a laserjet printer through
a Intel NETXPORT print server box. Here is what you do:
In the NPCONFIG.PUB.SYS file add this line to the dev that you want to
turn off snmp to.
snmp_enabled=FALSE
example:
3000 (network_address=???.???.???.???
TCP_port_number=3001
snmp_enabled=FALSE)

Has anyone been able to configure a Zebra Printer with a ZebraNet card
as a network printer on a 3000?
