That's right in line with what I was thinking!  There is a function in
Defrag/iX to write binary nonsense to a drive as well.

Re: "...somebody with a network sniffer - just watch VT-MGR ports for HELLO
dialogs..." No!  The only way yhtat I can think of to avoid this would
require an enhancement to Reflection - encrypt at the client end and decrypt
at the HP-3000 end for MPE.  Hello WRQ, Minisoft???
