If you've got source code for the application, you can always write a
simple routine that gets called after you vopen the terminal... and set
it back before the vcloseterm - as well as around any vturnoff/vturnon
calls.

At this point, (1) I doubt the market for dumb terminals would allow many
novel enhancements, and (2) I wouldn't want to deal with modifying code to
look for a new terminal model (not that many people would even buy new dumb
terminals these days).

We have the opposite problem. We use Wingspan in alot of cases for data
entry/application screens. These screens LOOK like VPlus screens, but are
operating in character mode doing single-byte character i/o... which reacts
rather badly to a user hitting an "ENTER" key.

While we found there wasn't anything we could do for HP terminals, for users
running Reflection, you can send escape sequences to R1 to remap any keys
on the keyboard... so we remap the ENTER key to generate a RETURN for the
duration of the application.

While sending the HP terminal escape sequence to change return to ENTER would
be easier for you, Reflection can also do it.

Why not pick up QUAD... it's free and it does have a "list all including",
among many other niceties. It's on our web site under the public domain
software area. It'll do nicely til you decide to buy a real editor like
QEDIT. :-)
