Excuse a somewhat OT posting, but thought I'd ask...

I have a LaserJet III-P that I bought some time ago real cheap as it was
failing self-test with an error code indicating a scanner motor error.
A few bucks for the replacement kit and some elbow grease later, I had
a working printer. But now, a year later, it is just, well, "dead".
No power, no display, nothing. (Sounds like me a few months ago...)

Any clues where to proceed from here? How tough is the power supply to
replace (assuming that is the problem)? Should I just trash it?

Jeff
