There is (was) a 6.5 defect in the COPY command where if you omit the
TO= filename it aborts. The problem was an uninitialized string length.
The workaround is to always specify a TO= name. E.g.
copy somefile.group.acct .
will copy "somefile.group.acct" to somefile in your CWD (logon group).

not a problem in 7.0.
