Last night I decided to create a new SLT tape with the sys and telesup accounts
attached.  After successfully creating the tape I decided to run vstore against
it.  Vstore started with no problem.  About 5 minutes into it I noticed the
display on my 12H Disc Array and it said it was in "TEST" mode.  All 12 of the
disc drive lights were lit up (not flashing); same goes for the tape drive
lights.  It stayed in this mode for about 3-5 minutes.  It then cleared and the
vstore continued on (displaying files it had validated).  A few minutes later
this occurred again.  The processes seemed to last longer.  Eventually error
messages began popping up on the screen saying "file not validated due to read
error".  The messages started after the disc array exited the "test" mode.  I'm
afraid to consider the possibility of having to do a restore.
Our support people are now looking into the matter.
