In a previous life, I was in the automobile business.  Many owners pushed 
their people for results, no matter the methodology, which is why you get 
sales and service departments promising more than they can deliver.  It's 
so competitive, and the front-line employees are pushed so hard, that they 
push the truth in order to get short-term success.  I get the same feeling 
from the media in this very competitive day and age we live in.
