Hi,
I did manage to get MS-Office 2000 to run in Linux using wine (windows
emulation), but it's pretty unstable. I got an avalanche of error
messages. The few stable window apps that can run in Linux are notepad
and solitaire.
As for dual booting, use LILO. And leave enough space for your Linux
partition, the standard installation is too bloated, but you may wish to
install some of the really good apps (eg. staroffice, kylix, jbuilder
etc)
