This is --so-- far off-topic that it's almost funny [actually, it'd kind of spooky...]

[big huge snip...]
Contrast GWB II (mis-)statements on terror ... with this statement from a previous president ...
> I am certain that my fellow Americans expect [...] so, first of
> all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is
> fear itself-nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror [...]
What makes it spooky is the fact that this VERY same day [uhh, that would be yesterday] I happened to watch a game show that, while I had seen bits of it before, I had never watched all the way through. As it turns out, the GAME WINNING absolute final question of the day was "who said... the only thing we have to fear is fear itself..."
The show is "Dog eat Dog", which is a part-physical-challenge, part-mental [trivia] challenge type of show -- sometimes these challenges are combined [i.e., answering questions while running on a treadmill 25' above a swimming pool -- every wrong answer and the treadmill speeds up. The challenge is to get 10 right answers without falling off]
Now, I realize that not only was this filmed "some time ago", and in fact [since it was on the "game show network"], it might have been a repeat, but I find it intriguing that this list brings to light tidbits such as this quote with such incredible timing. I can only wonder if someone reading this list might pick up an odd item that happens to "save their bacon" later the same day [for the record, the guy that answered the question was technically eliminated at the outset, but the structure of the game is such that at the very end, all the folks that are "eliminated" have one final shot at taking the prize money from the "last man standing" (and then split amongst themselves) -- at this point in the program, the "winner" and the group of "losers" were tied in points, so this was the absolute tie-breaker...]
