I have not used the Orbit products, but I could swear that Orbit's backup
sets variables that tell you the disposition of a backup. Surely there are
some that would have detected this condition. The job stream could then be
modified to test for, say, an variable that states how many files are NOT
backed up, being equal to whatever the "correct" number is, and sending
messages to the console, and even aborting the job (with ESCAPE) if the
results are otherwise.
I have to imagine that the support folks at Orbit have some good answers to
this concern.
