Yep.  I've had the "webdemos.com" domain for some time with
the intention of turning it into something useful (which to
be honest it isn't right now).  I received the same email as
you did and replied to him about it.  I further received
some email from them asking us to partner with them on
some internet marketing/sales scheme using that domain (I
declined :).  This sounds like a twist on the scheme being
used by some of the pornography sites to acquire expired
domains to direct unsuspecting users to their sites.
