For reasons to which I am not privy, we are ftping things to print from
our 3K to a mainframe printing system. One of the files I requested a
test on was a spool file. I got much the same results as when I ftped to
my PC: the control chars in the first several columns are printed. Is
there much I can do to prevent this?

One thought is to STDLIST=whatever... But I would welcome a better idea.
