This reminds me of the proposition:
The probability that a problem is caused by hardware is directly proportional
to the degree of certainty that it is caused by software.
Restated:
The probablility that a problem IS caused by software is inversely proportional
to the degree of certainty that it is caused by software.
Or:
The more you think it's software, the more likely it is to be hardware!
