And FYI, HP has stopped selling UPS's, so you may HAVE to use another 
vendor, although I can source pretty  modern HP UPS's off the secondary 
market, and I have new battery packs (not intended as a PLUG).

I, too, have been impressed by what I've seen from APC.  They appear to be 
serious about providing good products and service, although you'll spend 
for it.
