Not a true 3000 problem, but if anyone has seen this

When I attempt to print a document, the following randomly happens - I may get one page as I expected and I may not, but then I get a page that reads

PCL XL error
  Subsystem:  KERNEL
  Error: IllegalTag 
   Operator 0x25
  Position: nn         (nn varies)

The subsystem is always KERNEL, but sometimes the Error is Illegal OperatorSequence.

Any hints?
