This is a general (and sincere) apology to all
members of the 3000-L. By accident, I sent a
message intended for my supervisor to Alfredo
Rego. But that is not the main point. The content
of my message is.

I have spoken to both Alfredo Rego and Chad Gilles.
I have told Alfredo that he
is the last person I would want to embarrass and
that I (and, more important) Interex does not
penalize advertisers. My emotional "venting" would
have had no consequences for Alfredo, because it
was just that_ill-considered venting. I have also
told Chad that I was not interfering in the
election of a board member_I do not know or have
opinions about the candidates. Again, my words
were emotional and ill chosen.

I reacted without thinking (and made a
mistake in misdirecting e-mail), but I believe
those who know me realize I
would never attempt to penalize or interfere with
the business interests of anyone in the 3000
community.

Michael Doyle (Interex Publisher and my
supervisor) is following up this posting with some
comments on the issues.
