alcohol, it seems at least inconsistent to trust them to vote and to
serve in the military at the same time we treat them as children with
respect to alcohol."


But my friends who entered the military, way back then, had ample
opportunity to drink all the alcohol they wanted; most of them consumed
it on base; mostly overseas. 

Just a thought,  do you really think if the voting age was changed it
would have any affect on our apathetic voting population?
