Tom,

Sorry, but I don't think we can help with the information, it could one of a
number of things.  :-(

Was the system running at 100% CPU or 0 percent.  Do you have any potential
disc problem?  I/O could be the issue.

It could be hardware or software.  Were you using any performance monitoring
utilities like glance or scope.  If so maybe you can go back and look at the
logfiles for clues.

Without a memory dump we would all be just guessing.
