The MPEXL_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET can be installed on a disk array,
including
LDEV 1. The restriction is that it must be RAID-1. One note of warning is
that LDEV 1 should not exceed 4 GB. If LDEV 1 has more than 4 GB,
anything
over is lost.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is true that LDEV 1 can be a disk array, however it does not need to be
RAID-1. We have a C2252HA HP-FL disc as LDEV 1. It is a RAID-3
device, similar to RAID-5 that is available on the current NIKE drives.
Also, the 4GB limit applies to NIO systems. CIO systems have a maximum
of 2.7GB on LDEV 1.
