I am looking for more information about this variable, which is assocaited
with ODBC. I received a 2 page FAX from HP which tells me that to
SET HPPKCOMPRESS = 0 for OFF
SET HPPKCOMPRESS = 1 for ON
 
My problem is it does not tell where to "SET" it. Is this an HP3000 MPE
variable, a HPIMAGE/SQL variable when HP is the server, is it a
MS DOS PC variable. We just need more information!
 
I this does what we think it does, it compresses the data on the HP3000
and sends it in the compressed format to the cleint PC and then
uncompresses. This would be great! Wed like to try it. Please tell us how!
