We  use a product called "X-Connect" that makes our 256x printers
a "networked" device. Very slick.

Of course it can, the rub might be that I could not use (networked)
a print server other than an HP.  HP Jetdirect .  I tried an Intel and
that would not work.  I have Intel Switches that work great but not
Print Servers.
