Ted,
Very good lines! On a shirt, there is very little real estate to put a
slogan and if you think about the classier shirts, the logo does all the
work. IMO, a shirt with just an owl and "HP e3000" would look fine. All of
the lines below would look better on buttons or stickers. In fact, I would
like to offer my own suggestions (if ones like it were not offered
before...) for a button/sticker:
"MPE/iX: Where Image and Substance meet"
"xxxxx: Coming from a garage near you", where xxxxx can alternate between
MPE/iX, Apache/iX, Java/iX, Perl/iX, etc.
"HP e3000: The last one on the Island"
"MPE/iX: Wise beyond its peers" <--- Owl needed next to this one
Keeping in the U.S. political spirit, some negative campaigning (just for
fun, not recommended):
"Unix: Not Invented Here" and "NT: Not Invented Here"
"It depends on your meaning of Invent"
"Will the last one on the island reboot the NT and Unix machines"
"Win 2K, the OS for the year 2000. MPE/iX, the OS for the rest of the
time"
My $0.02, ($0.03 for my Canadian friends)

"Fly the owl! Market the e3000"
"MPE: The HP invention"
"The e3000, HP's buried treasure"
The HP logo, but with the "invent" replaced by "invented MPE"
"Brag, HP, Brag" with an owl in the background
and I like the polo shirt idea a lot.
