Hello
We purchased our 918 LX on june 1996 with a 2Gb DDS drive inside. The
part number is C2477 and for me it is a DDS1 dat system. I look inside
the original picking list and the maintenance contract but nowhere the
exact type of DDs is mentionned.
I think that you have the same configuration.

Objet : tape drive on 918

--
we purchased a hp3000/918 with DDS tape drive. I was hopping for a
dds-3 but expecting a dds-2 tape drive. come to find out it is a dds-1.
disc drives are only 22% full and the backup is taking 1/2 hours. the
system was originally delivered without a tape drive. latter the local
remarketer did add a tape drive.
what is the tape drive that should be in this system?
it is a LX. is the RX any different?
