We have a 918LX with a 20 user license (hpuserlimit = 20).

If a session is logged onto the console port (ldev 20), and no other
sessions are logged on, the hpusercount is still 0, no matter whether the
session is logged on as operator.sys, manager.sys, or logged on to any
other application account.

Logging onto a device other than the console port adds 1 to the hpusercount
variable, even if it is logged on as operator.sys, manager.sys, etc.

I am able to set the session limit all the way up to 60, but I bet it will
not let me have more than 20 sessions logged on at once. We have not had
occasion to test this yet.

Hope this helps.

As far as I know it's always counted the console if there is a session
logged
on there.
