Hello again All users of TurboIMAGE and Image/SQL:

The SIGIMAGE '99 Enhancement Ballot has now been available
on the web for just over a week. Thank you to all who voted so far.

For IMAGE users who have NOT done their civic duty yet: The
electronic polls for the '99 Ballot will close at 17:00 hours US
Eastern Standard Time on Monday 29 March '99. *and*: Online
voting is the ONLY way to submit a ballot in '99. Closing time is
driven by the need to get the most popular enhancement items
to Interex for inclusion in the 1999 System Improvement Ballot
(SIB) that is sent out to all Interex members.

*BUT*: ALL NOTE: You do NOT have to be a member of
Interex to vote on the '99 SIGIMAGE Ballot; it is open to all
IMAGE users everywhere (including HP internal users).

We got a good start; a lot of people voted in the first couple of
days... but since then activity at the ballot box has slacked off:
As of tonight, the periodic report I receive from SIGIMAGE web-
meister Joe Geiser indicates that only 79 people have voted so
far... sigh... come on, people: WE NEED YOUR VOTE !!!

All you need to do is surf on over to:
http://www.csillc.com/sigimage/

If you have any problems with the ballot, please contact Joe
Geiser directly, at: [log in to unmask]

In 1998 we received 112 ballots. With all the enhancements
HP has delivered in the last few years; and those in the queue
that they will deliver "soon", *surely* we can do better than 112
this year ?!?!... Note 11 enhancements were new on the "Now
/ Soon Available in Image/SQL" list at the time of the '98 Ballot.
Ten items have been moved to the "Now / Soon" list so far in
'99. You can help decide what enhancements will be done in
the future (and cut down on the number of harangues by the
writer) by casting your SIGIMAGE '99 Ballot this week if you
have not already done so....

thank you,

Ken Sletten
SIGIMAGE Chair
