SHOT (from Lund) introduced the "KILL" command to abort a process, and
some years later HP added a KILLPROC command to the CI.

Both use "kill_process", an internal MPE routine.

Note that this is not as powerful ... or as dangerous ...
as "kill -9" in Unix.
