According to the "System Software Maintenance Manual", Reflection must be
configured to use MPE/Posix filenames. We have Reflection 7.0, here, but I
believe the configuration process is essentially the same for versions 5.2
forward. We've not had any trouble with Patch/iX under this configuration while
using either 239x or 700/9x terminal emulation.
Select File --> Transfer Setup... (5.2) or File --> Transfer ... --> Setup
... (7.0)
Select Protocol ; if Preset Configurations exist, choose, "To MPE/iX (Posix)";
otherwise, click the "WRQ" tab, then select, "Advanced..."
From the "Advanced File Transfer Options" dialogue, choose, "Posix", for the MPE
File Names format.
Click OK --> OK ---> Close (or whatever is appropriate to save the changes)
I'm not certain if the settings file must be saved at this point -- I'll leave
it to you to discover this (I'll look it up, too ... :-)

Our system is at C.55.04. I didn't use Patch/iX when upgrading from
C.55.00 because, as I recollect, it wasn't there yet.
Bruce.
