Not uncommon actually.  We have several servers doing port aggregation (two gbit NICs logically bonded), and lots of network switches doing it.  Some windows drivers let you do it as well (Intel Pro, Broadcomm) but I don't think windows does it natively [yet].  Most unix/linux/etc can do it, it's even a standard (IEEE 802.3ad).
