Craig,

I disagree with giving religion a tax free status.

As far as Unions, I think they should not be allowed to force dues on
members and spend their members money without expressed consent (in writing)
to support political candidates/issues. I know members of two specific
unions that totally disagree with how their dues are being spent, but they
can do nothing about it. They are forced to pay the unions to keep their
job.

Tim

Fred,

If you believe that then you don't believe in the Bill of Rights
(Ammendments 1 - 10 of the constitution.)

For your clarification:

Ammendment 1 and I quote

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,
or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to
petition the government for a redress of grievances."

But then again, the Constitution always seems to get in your way.

If I decide of my own free will to give my money for a good cause, tell me
why Uncle Sam should tax it?

No Unions force thier members to give money and they have no accountability.
Hmmm...

-Craig
